RSI Sports (RSI) has strengthened its LED Grass Grow technology for sports fields team in Germany by appointing Markus Deimling as new business manager for stadium pitch concepts. Deimling brings with close to 30 years’ experience in the flooring industry.
The EU-ATS consortium of DSM-Niaga, NextEconomy.nu and RSI Sports (RSI) was granted the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) award. The SBIR is a competitive program of the Dutch Government which focuses on high quality, sustainable sports fields. The EU-ATS consortium is one of the initiatives that has received an incentive budget, between 400K and 750K, to develop a prototype for sustainable sport fields and turn it into a marketable product.
The European Turf Group (ETG), a subsidiary of RSI Sports (RSI), has appointed Rene van Hinthum as the new Business Unit Manager. The appointment frees up founding director Arnoud Fiolet to spend more time on the holding company RSI.

Dutch government tasks RSI Sports (RSI) with developing a truly 100% circular artificial turf. RSI has won a tender by the Dutch government to develop the artificial turf systems of the future. The new systems will be 100% recyclable, while also meeting the quality standards defined in the Quality Programmes issued by FIFA, World Rugby and FIH.
